When you support THE MISSION, you help us provide regular monthly support to: Nearly 40 legacy missionary families and/or ministries, Samaritan’s Purse, 7SF Church, as well as continued help to our other church plants as needed and as funds are available.
TIM DOWNS 2016 SPECIAL PROJECTS:
Help us meet our $35,000 goal for missionary TIM DOWNS, who has planted 37 churches in Africa & Europe. You can give a one-time gift, or set up a recurring donation through 2016 to help Tim fund multiple streams of ministry.
YEAR END GIVING:
A special Year End donation over and above our general tithe, is an excellent way to express how we feel about Christ and His work. As we get caught up in the spirit of things, let us all resolve to put Christ first on our Christmas lists.
"Expectation Church is a qualified section 501(c)(3) organization. All tithes, offerings or donations of any kind are tax-deductible under section 170(c)(2). Using our church offering envelopes or this site constitutes your agreement to relinquish control in accordance with IRS regulations."
WHAT IS TITHING?
A tithe (which means “tenth”) is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income that is to be given back to the local church and is a principle that is taught throughout the entire Bible. When we tithe, we are expressing worship in the one tangible way that we have to put God first in our lives.
Bringing our tithes is an opportunity for us to give God our thanks, show God we trust Him, and fight against greed in our hearts – all while allowing us to be a part of the most important work in life that is spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ!
If you would like to read more about what the Bible has to say about tithing, check out these passages: Leviticus 27:30, Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:6-10, Matthew 6:19-24 and I Corinthians 16:1-2.
