eGroups are where community is found!
eGroups are small groups of people who meet all over Northern Virginia with the purpose of connecting with others! These groups offer friendship, encouragement, and connection. There are many different types of eGroups to choose from, and what’s available changes each season. Groups meet for three seasons of the year (spring, summer, and fall), anywhere from once a week to once a month.
eGroups are structured seasonally
eGroups at Expectation Church are structured into three seasons throughout the year.
SZN1 meets February to April • SZN2 meets June to July • SZN3 meets September to December
We offer three types of eGroups
Discipleship
These groups are most like a classic Bible study group. The leader of the group will take you through a book of the bible, devotional, or video study where you can connect with others through discussion. Discipleship eGroups are a great way to grow your faith and learn from others.
Recreation
Our rec groups are all about making connections while sharing in a common interest. We have hosted groups as diverse as volleyball, pickleball, crocheting, hiking, cooking, and more! These eGroups are a great way to invite friends and family into your church community, who may not feel ready to attend a Sunday service.
Peer Counseling
Peer Counseling groups are a great place to find support and community during a challenging season in your life. We have hosted Divorce Care, Grief Share, and Financial Peace University as well as other support and financial advice groups, most often during the fall and spring seasons. Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
