Overview:
Expectation Church is seeking a Communications Director to oversee all communications, design elements, social media, and website management. This individual will create and execute a focused communications and marketing strategy that aligns with the mission and vision of Expectation Church.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy under the direction of the Executive Pastor.
- Lead, develop, and grow the Creative Team while effectively delegating and recruiting team members.
- Maintain and strengthen Expectation Church’s brand identity across all platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging and visuals.
- Design and execute strategies to attract, engage, and retain new attendees through various marketing initiatives.
- Oversee content creation, SEO, email marketing, and digital advertising efforts to engage target audiences.
- Manage and grow the church’s social media presence across multiple platforms to drive engagement and community.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns to promote church events, initiatives, and ministries.
- Ensure the church’s website is up-to-date, user-friendly, and effectively communicates key messages.
- Track performance metrics, analyze data, and optimize strategies to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, audience behaviors, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Create promotional material, social media assets, and signage to support various ministries.
Minimum Qualifications & Expectations:
- Committed Christ-follower with strong character and alignment with Expectation Church’s mission and vision.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to recruit, train, and empower teams.
- Experience in developing and implementing ministry strategies that align with the vision of the church.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in social media management across various platforms.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Creativity and strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
- Highly adaptable with a collaborative approach to work and creation.
- Strong discipline in design principles (layout, typography, color theory) with an understanding of brand cohesion and execution.
- Ongoing knowledge of trends and ideas that influence and shape design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in ministry, design, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a communications role, with at least one year in a leadership role preferred.
- Experience working in a large church or non-profit organization.
Working Hours & Conditions:
- Full-time, primarily Sunday – Thursday with flexibility for events and special programs.
- Occasional extra hours required for church-wide “all hands” events such as Christmas and Easter.
- Work is primarily on-site, though some remote work may be possible.

eKids Accessibility Director
Position: eKids Accessibility Director
Ministry: NextGen
Reports to: NextGen Pastor
Hours: Full time
Position Summary:
Expectation Church is seeking an Accessibility Director to provide leadership and oversight for ministry environments that support children of all abilities by creating inclusive experiences, recruiting and equipping volunteers, and partnering with families to ensure every child can fully participate in the life of the church. This role requires strategic planning, team development, collaboration, strong organizational skills, and a shepherding heart for children and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accessibility Ministry Strategy: Develop and lead under the NextGen Pastor’s guidance, a comprehensive plan that ensures all eKids environments are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with the vision of Expectation Church.
- Buddy Ministry Leadership: Oversee all aspects of Buddy Ministry, including meeting with families, creating and maintaining individualized plans, and ensuring effective support for each child or student.
- Volunteer Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, schedule, and care for accessibility volunteers, providing ongoing coaching and equipping them to serve with excellence.
- Family Partnership & Care: Build meaningful relationships with families, offering support, communication, and guidance to help them stay connected and engaged in church life.
- Sensory & Specialized Environments: Develop and maintain sensory-friendly spaces and adapt curriculum to create engaging, individualized experiences for children with unique needs.
- Program Integration: Partner with the eKids Director and NextGen team to ensure accessibility is integrated into all weekly programming, events, and environments.
- Sunday & Event Support: Be present during weekend services and special events to support families, volunteers, and staff in real-time ministry needs.
- Accessibility Events & Respite Care: Plan and execute events that support families, including REST Day (respite) opportunities and parent-focused gatherings throughout the year.
- Collaboration: Work closely with eKids, eStudents, and church leadership to ensure a seamless and consistent experience from birth through high school.
Minimum Qualifications & Expectations:

- Passionate about helping children of all abilities experience belonging and grow in their faith.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to recruit, train, and empower volunteer teams.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or unique learning needs.
- Ability to develop and implement ministry strategies that create accessible and inclusive environments.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to partner effectively with families and teams.
- Proficiency with technology, office software, and ministry tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in special education, psychology, ministry, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs in a ministry, educational, or therapeutic setting.
- Minimum of two years of experience in children’s, student, or accessibility ministry, with leadership experience preferred.
- Experience serving in a church or non-profit environment, especially in developing or supporting inclusive ministry environments.
