Meeting the needs of others accompanies the mission of faith in Christ.
As far as we are able, we should seek to meet the needs of those in our church, community, and beyond. Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus Himself met the greatest need with the gospel without neglecting the physical needs of the people He encountered.

When Jesus fed the 5,000, it's worth noting that He performed this miracle by engaging the disciples in His work. With just a word, Jesus could have fed the masses, but instead, He "gave…to his disciples to distribute to the people" (Mark 6:41). Rather than have them merely stand as witnesses, Jesus invited them into the miracle. God offers His followers the same opportunity today.
